I was delighted to learn this morning that IrishWhiskey.Com has been long listed for two awards in the 2018 Blog Awards Ireland competition.
Blog Awards Ireland is now in it’s 7th year and with over 2,000 nominations received for both personal and corporate bloggers, The Blog Awards Ireland has become one of the biggest events in the blogging calendar.
This website, IrishWhiskey.com has been nominated for a Best Blog award in the Food and Drink (Personal Blogs) category .
The Sliabh Liag Irish Whiskey Distillery Team
What’s even nicer to hear this morning, is that my recent article on Sliabh Liag Distillery in Donegal has received a nomination for a Best Irish Blog Article in the over all competition for Personal Blogs in Ireland.
The past year especially has been an interesting and exciting journey. A small redesign of my blog site resulted in exponential traffic growth and meant that I had to invest in an Enterprise Level Web Hosting Service. It’s a good problem to have with over 150,000 page views a month and growing.
Our unique visitors last month (July 2018) came from 114 different countries with the majority of our visitors coming from the english speaking countries of Great Britain, the United States of America, Ireland and India.
I have just introduced a translation service on the site and this is already proving successful in making our Irish Whiskey News and Reviews accessible to a wider global audience.
2019 will see additional exciting and innovative additions to IrishWhiskey.com , but these are under wraps for now!
Many, many thanks to all who have supported me along my blogging journey, especially to all my followers, friends and readers in the Irish Whiskey World.Days like today make it all worthwhile.
